Mobile phone tracking devices have been around for a few years now, and it appears to be coming back to life.

According to a new study from research firm IHS Technology, there will be a total of 14 smartphone vendors in 2017.

The research company also found that the majority of smartphones in the United States will be running on either a version of Android, or the Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge, which are both rumored to have an edge over competitors like Apple and HTC.

The report notes that the Samsung devices are expected to be the most popular and will be able to take advantage of a feature that allows users to quickly check their battery status.
