The Chicago Blackhawks will hold a three-hour window to trade their prized 2018 first-round draft pick before they trade their 2018 first overall pick to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The NHL will make the announcement at noon ET on Tuesday in New York, NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly said.

The Blackhawks are expected to be the first team to move a pick from the 2018 first round.

The move would be the third trade the Blackhawks have made this season, following the draft-day deal to acquire forwards Jonathan Toews and Connor McDavid, as well as a blockbuster deal to move defenseman Brent Seabrook.

The Blackhawks were set to trade for two prospects Wednesday in the trade for McDavid and defenseman Jakub Zboril, but both deals fell through.

The Chicago Tribune reported that the Blackhawks were “losing interest” in McDavid.

The 2018 first pick in the deal was a conditional first-rounder, which the Blackhawks would then have to give up to acquire McDavid in a trade.

The 2017 first overall selection was a first- round pick in a 2018 trade, and the 2018 draft picks were also conditional.
